Before we go any further..I shall NOT be at Verona this Friday, Dub will be and someone else of worth no doubt but not me. I will be on my way home after indulging myself in a tributey feast of Rowland S. Howard-ness in Melbourne, I’m very excited about that and will be reporting back.
However on Saturday from early out, as mentioned last week, I’ll be holding down a stall at the Record Fair in Freemans Bay and man are there some treats in them crates pictured below. Over 300 reggae 7″s, all going for nothing more than $2.50 a piece, hundreds of 12″s (dancehall, dub, electronic, dancey tackle dubstep, d’n’b etc etc), heaps more albums (all of the aforementioned with a bit of added soul, jazz and how’s your father) and even some 10″s to keep it formatically egalitarian. Nothing more than $30 and most all 12″s at $5, single LP’s at $10, doubles/triples etc at $20 or $30 if speshy (like the wholesome Soul Jazz wax etc)…What’s more the better half will be bringing down a crate of first hand Ninja Tune etc wax at similarly foolish prices.. Madness… Ca$h only… Smart money says get in early but if you’re a tightass seagull type there may well be a bunging down of prices towards close (of course that’s only on whats left, and you know that early bird has got the happening headphones and all the chicks and ting..) Here’s my lot ready to leave the garage and hopefully into the hearts and homes of some lucky folk…
